This live, participatory Zoom training introduces Restorative Justice Practices. Rooted in ancient indigenous peacemaking traditions and formalized over the last fifty years, Restorative Justice Practices offer a framework for how to hold authority without causing harm, how to move toward conflict instead of away from it, and how to build genuine relationships — even inside the most rigid institutional environments.  Aligned with the core values of social work, and genuinely useful for anyone who works with people. NYSED-approved for 5 social work continuing education credits.

This live, participatory full-day Zoom training teaches the philosophy, methodology and character of the Circle Keeper. That is, not just the structure of Circle, but what it means to hold rather than lead, to trust a group rather than manage it, and to create the conditions for whole human beings to show up in the spaces you facilitate. Rooted in Indigenous teachings, aligned with the core values of social work and genuinely useful for anyone who brings people together. NYSED-approved for 6 social work continuing education credits.

When harm occurs — in a school, a family, a workplace, a community — punishment rarely heals it. Restorative conferencing does something different. It brings everyone impacted into a structured, facilitated dialogue to speak, be heard, and co-create a path forward together.
This full-day live training introduces the philosophy, structure, and facilitation of restorative conference circles. Rooted in Indigenous teachings and aligned with the core values of social work, participants will leave with practical tools for preparing and facilitating conferences, supporting emotional safety, and guiding groups toward genuine accountability and repair.NYSED-approved for 6 NY social work continuing education credits. Open to all.

Being a Circle Keeper takes ongoing reflection, courage, and connection. The Community of Practice Circle is a monthly Virtual space where Circle Keepers can come together to share stories, strengthen their circle-keeping skills, and learn from one another’s experiences. Whether you're brand new or have been running circles for years, this space is for you. Together, we reflect on what’s working, talk through challenges, explore foundational readings, and set goals rooted in our values. Texts may include Circle Forward, The Little Book of Circle Process, Justice on Both Sides, and others.Â
